All good things must come to an end

Well the time has come. Today is my last post with the fabulous Design Dollies. I cannot tell you enough how honoured I was to have a guest spot with the design team this month. They are such a fabulous bunch.
Monday is colour challenge day (my favourite day). The challenge was to use Black, White and Purple. Here is what I came up with:

I figured since it was so close to Halloween that it was very fitting to scrap Halloween photos. This is my sweet little pea pod : )
Would you like to play along? Hop on over to the Dollies for this weeks challenges.
Thank you so much Dollies. I had a fabulous time this month!

Loving the Design Dollies

Hi everyone, super busy week on the home front (that's why you haven't seen me around much). It is my day over at Design Dollies as their guest!!! I got to work with this sketch:
and here is what I created:

I used the Mommaratzi (spelling???)paper as well as some Tim Holtz film strip and I jazzed up a little tag with glimmer mist. I didn't think I liked the Mammaratzi papers but I love how this LO turned out.
There is fabulous prizes to be won so please come play along with us. You can see the details here and if you feel like a major challenge you could try the Trifecta challenge : )

Project 12 and other news...

Wow, just squeaked my project 12 September in on the last minute. How did I forget to keep doing this layout? Well here is the sketch for September:
and this is what I came up with:
I used some papers from Studio Calicos kit (June I think????) as well as some Cosmo Criket that also matched (another sheet was in the SC kit) and I also added my own embellies. I did a aper peat that I also machine stitched over. I really like how this turned out since I never used primary colours like this. You can still squeeze your LO in by October 20. Go here for details.

I also decided to play along with Candy Shop Designs this month. The challenge was to be fake!
I thought using Sassafras Mix and Mend was the perfect match for this challenge:
It already has the faux stitching and coffee stains. I also added my own "coffee stain" using Studio Calico coffee stain stamp. It blended in perfectly. I also used the bottom trim from the sheet of paper to make a faux fabric ruffle trim and for the photo I made it look like it was a photo transfer when in fact all I did was print on patterned paper. Not the best photo of me but I think the layout turned out pretty good for being all fake ; )
The best part about this challenge is Blue Moon Scrapbooking is the sponsor!!!! I love them so much.
It's always fun to play along with the Lollipop girls. Go here for details!

My favourite pet

That's right my fabulous Abby dog is the bestest pet ever and my little girls agree!!! This weeks challenge over at These are a few of my favourite things is to scrap about our favourite pet. I'll admit I have had a lot of pets. I've had birds, cats, dogs, hedgehogs, turkeys & chickens (raised in the house) but my dear Abby has been the best pet of all of them. I got her when I was going through a rough patch in my life and 10 years later she is still fabulous. Here is my layout with Abby and my now big girl Sadie:
