Just because

It seems lately I haven't done a lot of scrapbooking just for my own pleasure. I am either doing a layout for a challenge, a design team, or for a class to teach. So this layout is just because. It is of me and my big girl when she was only 18 months old. Seems like forever ago.

I used Crate Paper "Brook" collection and some rub ons I had laying around. Not even sure what manufacturer. The flower is cheese cloth spritzed with Peacock chalk glimmer mist.

Can you say EEEEEEEEKKKKKK!

So this morning started off a little bad. My little one was up almost all night (yawn). While getting breakfast my older one started being a little naughty (banging head against cupboard door). Well when my mail lady showed up with my Pink Paislee warehouse box and then the man in brown showed up with this
my day took a turn for the absolute best!!! I have been dreaming and drooling about Crate Paper's
Restoration since the minute I laid eyes on it. Now you may ask, how the heck did you get your hands on this lovely paper pack???? Well, I got an email one day saying I won and to send them my email. So I gladly did. Then I got another email saying oops wrong person sorry. I was sooooooooooooooo sad. So I was extreme;y bummed to say the least. Then the next day I got another email saying sorry for the mistake we will send you a prize anyway. Can you say WOW! I just have to Crate Paper, you guys rock! This is why you are one of my favourite companies!
Now I need to start creating.

A few LO's

Happy Friday!!! I can't tell you what a fabulous time I am having right now. My parents have been visiting so hubby and I have been going out on lots of dates : )
Last night my paper storage unit arrived so I cleaned and organized my scraproom. I can't believe how organized I am now. It makes me happy. Anyways, here are a few creations...

I need to re crop this one since it now looks crooked (oops). I got the idea for this layout from a shirt I saw at Gap a few weeks ago.

This next one I have been planing in my head for a while. I thought it would be cool to do a layout that looks like a chalkboard. If my kids were in school I would have done a school LO but they are too young. I'll have to do another one next year when my big girl starts. Anyways a friend of mine had some chalkboard paint left over from a project and she gave the rest to me so I didn't even have to buy any. I also used my wood veneer paper for the trim. The one corner curled a bit but that's what happens when you use paint.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Spectacular!

I just received my photos from our Kayaking trip and had to share! I feel so lucky to live on Van Island. It's beauty is unexplainable, the activities that we have had the opportunities to try is unbelievable and all I can say is I love it here.
Saturday we were lucky enough to go Kayaking on the ocean for the entire day. I hate to sound like a dork but it truly was magical!!!
Here are some photos:
Me just starting to head out

My handsome husband in his Aussie hat (keep in mind it was a ridiculously hot day)

Me trying to do an assisted rescue. Everyone thought I was a wimp because I was struggling to get the boat out then our guide realized the boat was full of water where it shouldn't have been. I then became the uber strong girl ; )

I forgot to mention that this day trip was my husband and I anniversary gift to each other. Our friend caught a snap shot of us going in for a kiss (insert awe here).

What a fabulous time!

What a day

I had another fabulous day. Spent the whole day Kayaking out on the ocean. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was. I don't have photos... yet, since I don't have a waterproof camera (thinking I need one now). Luckily one of the ladies took lots of photos and will email them to me. Can't wait to share!
