Let me start over ; )

I'm sorry about my last post. I wasn't sorry about posting about Lydia's blog I was going to explain why I haven't been on here lately and got distracted. Oops!!!
Anyways, I have been feeling down about the world of scrapbooking. Lots of things went on this summer and I don't want to get into details but I have decided for now that I am laying low. My priority is to teach at the fabulous Scrapbook Parade and then to do some challenges on the side. I still have my guest DT spot in October for the awesome Design Dollies which I am so excited for. I will also be doing DT work for my old faithful XOXO. Needless to say I feel this will keep me adequately busy. Maybe next year I will think about doing more DT stuff.
So without further a due here are some layouts I did for some challenges.
First up is a challenge over at American Crafts. The challenge was to use 3 pattern papers or more. This turned out to be a very clean and simple layout which I seem to be doing more and more lately. I say the complicated stuff for my classes ; )
I used AC Dear Lizzy "Spring", AC Thickers, and a variety of Dear Lizzy embellies. I also stitched around the edge with my good ol' sewing machine. You can check the challenge out here.
Next up is the monthly sketch challenge on the Crate Paper blog. For this one I used their fabulous Restoration line some AC Thickers and I made my own crepe paper ruffle. I might have to do a tutorial for it because I love how they are turning out!!!!
Here is the layout:

These next 2 layouts are for the store I teach at Scrapbook Parade. I have to tell you I have been busy with the store. We had Tricia Ladouceur come last week for our Weekend to Unwind. Let me tell you it was so much fun. A little exhausting (can't imagine how Carol felt) but it was fun. I would love to show what we made but I can't : (
Anyways here are the 2 layouts I can show you. The photos aren't great. I was in a hurry when I took the pictures.

Isn't Carol awesome for letting me play with this line? It is My Minds Eye.
Anyways, hope I did bore you with my big long story.

XOXO

  1. Many days, I wonder why I blog at all! So I can empathize with you! I go back and forth feeling down about the world of scrapbooking/blogging. I have made a few friends doing it and there are a lot of really nice people out there, but sometimes I feel that way--too much to go into, but just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your work and hope you don't disappear!

  4. Sorry you've been so blah about blogging/DTS etc :( Email me girl if you need an ear! I love seeing your beautiful pages and reading about your life. I've decided to take a step back a little too. I no longer pressure myself to post everyday. If I do, I do. If not, there's always tomorrow :)
