Paradise?

It is to me. I love it here on the west coast. Yes we get rain but it's warm. We can still do things unlike cold Alberta. Here's a few picks of a typical Saturday morning for us.

A little shout out!

Good Morning everyone. I just wanted to give a little shout out to the wonderful Catherine over at http://paperaddictcatherine.blogspot.com/
I won a little something back in December and received my goodies today! I opened up the package to find all sorts of great stuff!

I have to admit I am not a big card maker but now I have the chance to make some great (with Catherine's help). So thank you Catherine for the wonderful stash you sent. I can't wait to dig in and use it.

Just 2 more layouts to share. I have a bunch more but I just don't have time to upload all of them. These last 2 are more Cosmo Cricket. The one with Early Bird I used distress ink and Rock Candy Crackle Paint. The picture just doesn't do this layout justice.
I hope everyone enjoys and I always love feedback!

Who doesn't love Jenni Bowlin? This layout looks clean and simple and I love it.

Another one to add to the 60 page club.
This layout I sorta scraplifted from the Studio Calico blog. I can't remember who did it but I love it so I borrowed her wonderful idea.
Okay here is another layout. I love Cosmo Cricket but I love their Early Bird line even more.

60 page club

This year I decided to participate in the 60 page club at my LSS. The Scrapbook Parade is my go to store out here on the Island. The owner Carol is fabulous and the classes I have taken so far are super fun. Here's the link about the 60 page club
http://scrapbookparade.wordpress.com/2009/12/10/60-page-club/
So I need to do at least 5 layouts in a month and I am well on my way. I am going to post some of the layouts I have done thus far. The photos aren't stella since my house is under reno mode and I have limited area's that have good light for photos.

Could somebody help me PLEASE

Hey everyone, Happy Monday!!! So I'm having a slight dilemma. I found a tutorial a few months back on how to make those round circle flowers made out of fabric. I think they're called lollies??? Well, I was going to make some and can't find the tutorial now. Does anyone know how to make them and if they have a tutorial on them let me know where I can find one. I would be so grateful.

Just a little something...

I love checking out Scrapjacked (http://scrapjacked.blogspot.com). It's one of my go to blogs to get some inspiration flowing to the brain. I have only participated once before and actually won! I'm going to give it another go despite the lack of time I've had to get much scrapbooking in (this will change come february).
Here's my take on this months post (http://scrapjacked.blogspot.com/2009/12/stephanie-wheeler-come-on-down.html)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope fun was had by all.
This was our first Christmas and New Years without family. Since we were just in Alberta in October we didn't feel like going back so soon. As much as I missed my family it was nice to have a quiet Christmas. The girls were both sick so we enjoyed laying low.
We were supposed to start kitchen reno's but the stinky Home Depot messed up our order and we didn't get our flooring until this morning. It was only 3 weeks late. Can't really do reno's with flooring. Anyways, we decided to make the most of it and go away for a couple of days. We went to a wonderful spa resort: Tigh-Na-Mara (http://www.tigh-na-mara.com/). It was so lovely. We had a log cabin with all amenities there were restaurants for when I didn't feel like cooking. I even got to spend a few hours at the spa while hubby took care of the kids. He even got the favor returned. I highly recommend this place.

I have to say I am looking forward to getting back onto the grove of things. I am signed up for a 14 hour crop in February and I signed up for a few classes as well as committed to accomplishing some layouts this year. I hope these kitchen reno's don't interfere : $
I did attempt Tim Holtz's 12 tags of Christmas. Unfortunately I only manage to get 7 done since I didn't get my supplies in time. Here's a picture of the 7 that I did finish.

Anyways, I wish everyone the very best for the new year. Wow! Can you believe it's 2010? Any good resolutions out there? I have a couple... To meditate more often, to get fit (get into pre-pregnancy clothes), to get more scrapbooking in, and to be the best mom that I can be.
Cheers!
