Scraplifted

So I have a question... Has anyone had a layout scraplifted without being credited? I saw a layout on 2 Peas today that looked very similar to one I posted a few weeks ago. Now I took it from a Studio Calico challenge but I DID give credit and I made it my own. This person also mentioned SC but it was almost identical to mine and even had hearts and misting. Should I be flattered or annoyed? I always try to give credit when I scraplift. There is so much inspiration out there and it is getting harder to be original but there is still lots of ways to make it your own. Worst part... she had more views and bookmarks than mine : (

  1. I hate it when that happens. Yes, you have every right to be annoyed. I think some people don't know the proper etiquette. Or, maybe they just like to take full credit:(

Sorry, I was just checking out your blog. You posted such a nice comment on my blog this weekend and wanted to say tank you. i love your blog and all the inspiration! I plan to follow your blog and hope you will consider doing the same.

  2. Grrrr....
It's one thing to be inspired (or more often in my case, reminded) to use something you have (like "Oh yeah! I forgot I have those in my stash. I should use them!"), but when it's nearly identical, yes, I can understand being annoyed. But they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And sadly there's not much we can do about rude peeps without sinking to their level.
I find you totally inspiring, so if I ever get 'round to scrapping, and you ever feel like I've been too literal, feel free to give me the cyber smack upside the head! :D
