Well it is finally here!!!!! National Scrapbooking Day is official tomorrow but everyone is celebrating throughout the weekend even as I type. What are you doing? Going to a crop? Scrapping on your own? Doing an online crop? Me, I'm staying at home and attempting to do some online crops. I know ScrapAttack Scrapbooking http://www.scrapattackscrapbooking.com/

How hot are they?

I think they are the hottest kit club out there, and I am a lucky gal to be a subscriber!!! I love these guys. I have never been let down by my kits. My first kit I received back in February and I was giddy from head to toe. I did not receive March's kit for some reason but they quickly sent me one with my April kit. I just received it last week and can not put it away. Love these guys.





So how do I know these guys are the hottest things around? Well if you are a kit subscriber you get first dibs on their add on kits (which I highly recommend) and you can buy anything in the store and you don't have to pay any extra shipping. They just send it all with your kit. Well I went to add a few extra's to my cart ie: albums and tiny attacher refills and they were all sold out. I was so sad. SO to compensate I bought a bunch of other good things : )

So this is my take on it. I had to do this layout in a timely fashion because I had 2 kiddies breathing down my neck. I like how it turned out but if you notice the trim looks a little wavy thanks to my poor photography skills today. It's a rainy day here on the Island and this was the best shot I could get : (

I did all of my writing in white pen so it didn't stand out too much.

So I did these 2 layouts from some inspiration that I found . I thought I found it over at
http://buzzandbloom.typepad.com/ but now I don't see the layout. It was a double page just like the image below but I'm not seeing it anywhere. If you know what layout I'm talking about please share because I do not like taking credit when it's not mine. Anyways, here is the layout I did:

Have you checked out Scrapjacked? I love it. Always fabulous inspiration. This month is a fabulous layout that I wanted to scraplift. However I think it's a bit too much like the original : ( Not what I was going for. The upside is I really like the layout.

Happy Weekend everyone! I hope the sun is shinning as nice and bright as it is here in the west coast.

Project 12 March

So another month has gone by and I participated in the Project 12 once again. I am much happier with my layout but I'm still trying to work with these sketches. So here it the sketch:

I used my Sassafras stash for this layout because I have been hoarding it and it is time to use it up! I hope you like it.

What's new?

How was everyone's Easter? Ours was crazy! Good Friday we ended up having a wicked coastal storm and had no power from 9 am until 8 pm. Since we are new to Island living we weren't sure what to make of this. Apparently we do indeed get storms like this from time to time. Today we have lots of sunshine and it's warm out too.
Since we had no power I decided to get a little scrapbooking done. The first layout is one I did using the sketch from a sketch class I'm doing through Kelly Purkey- http://kellypurkey.typepad.com/
I don't usually use sketches unless I'm really stuck but this class shows you how to take a sketch and make it your own. I like it.

This second layout I did is really clean and simple. Not a lot to it. It did however take me quite a while. I made the flower with tissue paper and the background is all rolled paper.
