Well, I haven't heard the official news but I just checked and the poll is closed and the final count was 39 for Blueberry Kisses and 34 for the other one!!! Thank you so much to everyone that came out and voted!!!! I know some of you have multiple computers and voted more than once and also a big thank you to my Aussie Friends who were able to vote near the end (since it was in the wee hours here). So I had my little sidekick help me out. We took all of the names from all of the blog posts about the contest as well as Facebook Friends that participated and all of my other lovely friends who I just emailed or called! Thank you everyone. So my sweet Sadie helped pick the name. We wrote out all the names and those that voted more than once got their name put in for the amount of times they voted. We threw them into a colander and Sadie picked...

Ok Andrea, I voted - hope you win!

This week over at the Design Dollies I decided to take all 3 of their challenges and put it all in one for their Trifecta challenge!!! So I had to use this sketch:
This color combo:
and this list of elements:
1) Lace
2) The color PINK
3) Stripes
4) A crown
5) TWO 3-d elements (or more)

So this is what I cam up with:

I kept it pretty simple this week. Nothing too flashy ; )
So I used the sketch, I used the color combo and I managed to use all of the elements listed. I don't know if you can see the little flower on the flash card but I made it with striped paper. The crown is on your Royal Highness little Lola : ) I didn't have any lace except for this flashy blue piece that I got in a kit once and never used. The 3-D elements were not hard since I usually have oodles of elements on my layouts.
This was a great challenge you should come play along HERE.

LAst chance to win and a layout!

This is your last day for a chance to win this fabulous stamp

Go HERE and look on the right side of the page to where it says Name this range and select BLUEBERRY KISSES. Make sure you leave me a comment and I will enter your name for a chance to win this awesome stamp from Studio Calico.
Now on to my layout...

This layout is for the challenge over at These are a Few of my Favorite Things. Go here to see the challenge. It's about your favorite book. Well, I just couldn't choose. I love to read. I have hundreds of books and my good friend is also a best selling author. She guides me in the right direction for the best literature out there : ) Anyways for this layout I took a 8x10 picture of my books and then took some October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper and made it look like folded pages of a book. I then took pics of some of my fav books and added them to the layout. This layout is very 3-D although the picture's don't show it very well. Anyways I love how it turned out.

Here is my take:

So I have to admit I don't love how it turned out : ( I had a bigger vision and this was not how I pictured it but... live and learn right? Anyways this is what I came up with even if I'm not happy with it.

Sketchy Thursday Challenge

Okay here is the sketch

Now run along to here to see the fabulous prize!

Mother Goose

This layout I did for the challenge over at the Design Dollies. It was to do a layout inspired about a nursery rhyme. I had my little babe out on the swing yesterday and was pushing her and singing Rock-A-Bye-Baby when it dawned on me that I should take a picture of her and use it for this challenge. I love it! I did a garland style banner where I saw the tutorial over at the Hambly Blog. It's a little hard to see since I took this photo bright and early this morning. But I love this layout. Super simple, and clean.
I just saw on Moxie Fab World a picture of some lanterns that reminded me of this page!

Project 12 April

It's that time again. My layout for project 12 for the month of April.

The layout is mostly about Easter but in my journaling I talked about some other events that happened during the month as well. For some reason I didn't take a whole lot of photos in April. That means I have the camera out in full force this month! If you are playing along don't forget to link your layouts HERE.

Just one of those days...

So I was over at the Design Dollies
checking out the latest challenge and saw this
and I thought ooo I have to do this challenge. So I tore threw my scraproom trying to get it finished and here it is:

the bad news is the challenge ended last week : (
Anyways, I did a layout and it looks good. Regardless of my bad timing you should still venture over to the Design Dollies and try one of their challenges!

Happy wednesday everyone!!! So I have a layout to share today along with the inspiration behind it. Hubby and I were watching a movie (can't remember the name) and Drew Barrymoore was in it wearing a grey sweater with yellow hearts. I jumped off the couch and ran and sketched a layout that I thought would be awesome. This is the layout I came up with just from watching this movie:

I like the layout but I don't love my title. I soooo need some grey alphas. I hate my handwriting and I think that's why I don't like my title. But otherwise I think I like it.

More layouts

Here are some more pictures of some of the layouts I created for the challenges over at
I had a lot of fun.
The first picture was a challenge to use something not related to scrapbooking. I used rubber tile spacers (we just tiled our kitchen backsplash and have 100's of these). I hot glue gunned them to my base page which was a lovely sheet of Cosmo Cricket Material Girl. Then I did my layout. I would have done more but I wanted to showcase my brilliant idea ; )
I also used those felt things you put on the bottom of your chair to protect your floors. I used them on the flowers.

I hope you like!!!!

That's a wrap!

Hi everyone! How was your NSD weekend? I spent Friday night and half of Saturday scrapping until my little heart was content. I participated in 2 online crops... Scrap Attack Scrapbooking

and Studio Calico

Here are a few layouts I did for Studio Calico. I won't post everything because I did a lot this weekend.

I hope you enjoyed. I'm not much of a scrap super fast kind of gal so there are definitely a few layouts I would have done a bit different if I had a little more time to finish them. Oh well, I hope you enjoy.
I will post the Scrap Attack layouts tomorrow.
